Patrick McGilligan “Tender Comrades: The Hollywood 19” Wed, February 23rd

Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30pm in the Gaylord Hall Auditorium, film historian Patrick McGilligan will present his lecture, “Tender Comrades: The Hollywood 19”.  The lecture is the first in a series for the OU Presidential Dream Course, “The Hollywood Blacklist” with the Film and Video Studies program. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Lighting Master Class with Steven Poster, ASC

Please join FVS and the Student Film Production Club this Saturday, February 12th from 1pm to 5pm in Nielson Hall room 170 for a Master Class on lighting with cinematographer Steven Poster.  Mr. Poster is the former President of the American Society of Cinematographers and the current President of the International Cinemagographers Guild.  He was the Director of Photography on OU student favorite, Donnie Darko as well as Rocky V, The Box and Southland Tales.  Mr. Poster will give a hands-on workshop on the techniques of Hollywood lighting and also hold a Q&A session.  For more information on Mr. Poster please visit his website: http://edgeofconsciousness.com/
